Class Descriptions

  • Princess Pre-Ballet
    Ages 3-5

    Calling all Princesses! In this magical princess
    themed class, they will learn ballet, creative
    dance, individual steps, across the floor
    movement and dance combinations. While
    dancing to their favorite princess music they will
    use fun props like scarves, magic wands, & more.
    Dancers perform in class, on the last day of the
    session.
  • Cheerleading Dance
    Ages 6-10

    GO! FIGHT! WIN! Children will learn cheerleading
    motions, chants, jumps, and terminology. They
    will also learn a dance using pom poms while
    incorporating cheer moves. This is a fun class
    and is high energy! Dancers
  • Combo Dance
    Ages 4-7
    This class offers a combination of Ballet, Hip Hop Boogie, and Creative Dance! Children will learn basic hip hop dance moves to fun kids' music while building confidence, coordination and rhythm. Children will also learn basic ballet steps, across the floor movement and terminology.
    During the Creative Dance portion they will do movement games and use their imaginations to explore the dance space around them. In-class performance for parents, family and friends on the last day.

Dance Force Owner/Director

Kathy Welch has been dancing all her life. She has taught jazz, hip hop, tiny tots, parent participation classes, comboclasses, competitive dance and cheerleading teams.

Kathy is a former San Francisco 49er Cheerleader and San Jose Saber Cat Arena Football Cheerleader. She danced for San Jose’s first Professional Roller Hockey team, The Rhinos, and San Jose’s first indoor soccer team, The Grizzlies. She has been a backup dancer for Carlos Santana, Huey Lewis and the News, The United States Mayor’s Ball, Joe Montana’s Retirement Ceremony, the Make a Wish Foundation, and the World Cup of Soccer. Kathy also created a dance scholarship program that benefits many kids in the bay area.
